Development Academy

The HGS Development Academy is the second step in our Junior Golf development pathway and is designed for intermediate players who are ready to transition from learning fundamentals to learning how to score, practice independently, and compete in tournament environments. Many Development Academy players begin playing local competitive events, including PGA Jr League, as a natural next step in their progression.

Who Is the Development Academy For?

Have completed Player Pathway Level 5+, or equivalent

Are interested in competitive golf

Want structured coaching beyond group classes

May soon transition to the Elite Academy

Season & Commitment

Season Duration: April → August, April → October, May → August, May → October

Format: Monthly tuition billing

Recommended Competition: PGA Jr League participation encouraged

This ensures players have enough time to build habits, compete, and make measurable progress.

Learn how to practice with purpose

Improve scoring and shot selection

Build short game proficiency

Develop course management

Elite Academy

The HGS Elite Academy is our highest level of junior development and is reserved for committed tournament players who are actively competing or preparing for high-level junior golf. This academy provides structured coaching, performance tracking, self-guided practice requirements, and tournament scheduling support to help athletes reach their competitive goals.

Eligibility & Admission

The Elite Academy is reserved for tournament players only. Admission is based on evaluation and staff approval.

Ideal candidates include:

HGS Development Academy graduates

Active tournament players (local/state/national)

Junior golfers seeking collegiate pathways

Players demonstrating advanced fundamentals & scoring ability

Premiere Academy

The Premiere Academy represents the highest level of training at Huntmore Golf Studios. This academy is designed for highly committed, competitive golfers whose goals extend beyond junior competition and into college golf and beyond.

Instruction within the Premiere Academy is led primarily by Mike Horn, Huntmore’s Director of Instruction, and focuses on advanced skill development, performance optimization, and long-term competitive readiness.

Eligibility & Admission

The Premiere Academy is intended for:

Golfers actively pursuing college scholarship opportunities

Players who have successfully progressed through Huntmore’s Developmental and Elite Academies

Exceptionally skilled golfers who demonstrate advanced ability and competitive readiness

*This academy is not entry-level and is reserved for athletes who have shown the commitment, discipline, and
performance standards required to compete at a high level.*
